The Last Session of the 21st Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Accra has begun at the Christ Anglican Church, Legon-Accra. This forum brings together the House of Clergy and the House of Laity from the various Parishes and Congregations under one umbrella to deliberate on issues concerning the well-being of the Church and also find lasting solutions to the challenges affecting the growth of the Church.
The Three-Day Synod which started on Wednesday July 16th 2014 is under the Chairmanship of the Rt. Rev’d. Dr. Daniel S. M. Torto, the Bishop of Accra Diocese.
Speaking in an interview, Bishop Torto called on Christians to seek the face of God in these times of economic hardship which has hit the country due to the recent increment in fuel prizes.
He said it was about time the nation recognizes that without God all efforts to build the nation would be in vain. He therefore urged all Christians to heed to the Word of God and leave lives worthy of His Call.
