The Parish Priest of St. Anthony Anglican Church- Abelenpke, Rev’d. Canon Samuel L. Lamptey has called on the Ministers of Christ the High Priest who have been consecrated to preach the Gospel, Shepherd the Faithful and segregate divine worship. “You must therefore fulfill this mission by being Christ substitute for the people of God” he said at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Osu on Saturday 25th October, 2014 during  the Ordination of Rev. Eric Mark Owusu of Holy Family, Adenta as Priest and Bro. Cyril Yeboah Otoo of St. James, Anyaa as Deacon of the Anglican Diocese of Accra.

According to him, the Minister of God should be a Priest by offering sacrifices and praying for his members; act as a teacher by instructing them in the ways of God; as Healer by absorbing them from their sins and installing divine life in them; as Guide, by directing them in the ways of Christian discipleship and as a Model by showing them what Christ was and what they are expected to be through their personal example and life Holiness so that they can say that of Apostle Paul, “Be ye Imitators of me as I am of Christ Jesus”.  (1 Corinthians 11:1)
